  Introduction to Chips and EDA for a General Audience

    nThis workshop provides:
nA explanation for the layman of how chips are made
nA portrayal of chip design using Electronic Design Automation
nAn opportunity to see and touch the parts that make up chips and electronic products
nA non-threatening, fun event with a basic, working knowledge to take away
nAn understanding of why the EDA industry can be a good financial investment
nThis workshop is for:
nNon-engineering staff from technology companies
nAnalysts and media people unfamiliar with EDA and semiconductor industries
nEducators and students who are curious about chip technology

Tutorial Objectives:
nProvide knowledge and understanding of EDA and semiconductors to non-technical people
nPresent information in a non-threatening, fun environment
nUse hands-on parts (wafers, chips, masks…) for enhanced experience
nEncourage people to join the EDA industry
nPromote the EDA industry as a good financial investment
nEntice audience to learn more
nAddress ongoing requests to help non-technical people in our industry understand what we do!
